Installation Instructions
Dash Cam Installation
The wiring and power-taking installation method of the dash cam include the following two types:
● Cigarette Lighter Power Supply
Insert the car charger into the cigarette lighter, and connect the car charger and the dash cam through the power cord. Most of the power cord will be embedded in the plastic guard plate of the car, and a small part will be exposed in the car. This wiring method is simple and easy to operate.
Step 1: Wipe the front windshield
Wipe the front windshield with a clean soft cloth to ensure that the bracket can stick firmly.
Step 2: Install the dash cam on the bracket
Remove the dash cam and bracket from the package, and install the bracket on the dash cam.
Step 3: Power on the dash cam
After inserting the car charger into the cigarette lighter, connect the dash cam to the car charger using the specified Type-C power cord.
After the car starts, the dash cam will automatically start when it is powered on, and the start-up prompt tone “Hello, DDPAI” will be issued, and the dash cam will start recording at this time.
Step 4: Determine the installation position of the dash cam and adjust the lens angle
① After connecting the DDPAI App to the dash cam, enter the app, select “Device” > “Connect to Camera”, and enter the “Now&back” interface, where the horizontal center line and vertical center line are displayed.
② Place the dash cam in the middle of the front windshield, so that the bottom of the bracket is attached to the front windshield, and the lens faces outward. According to the horizontal and vertical center lines in the picture, move the dash cam left and right to ensure that the center line of the front of the car is at the vertical center line, and then rotate the device to ensure that the disappearing line of the ground plane is at the center line of the picture.
Step 5: Stabilize the dash cam
① After determining the installation position of the dash cam, attach the electrostatic sticker to the installation position.
② Peel off the film of the 3M sticker on the bracket, and stick the bracket to the center of the electrostatic sticker.
Step 6: Wiring
As shown in the following figure, please place the power cord from the cigarette lighter receptacle to the fixed position of the dash cam, and hide the power cord in the plastic guard plate of the car by using the included crowbar.
● Connect the fuse box (step-down line is required)
This wiring method ensures neatness and beauty in the car and realize parking monitoring function at the same time. But the wiring operation is complicated. In order to avoid vehicle damage caused by misoperation, please complete the installation at a professional automobile service shop.
APP Connection
Connecting N3 Pro to the DDpai App
1、Guide to connecting N3 Pro:
a.On the Device screen of the DDpai App, tap Connect new device and enter the selection screen. Then tap Screen-less Dashcam.
b.On the wizard screen, tap Next and Connect to Wi-Fi in sequence, and the detected dashcam Wi-Fi will be displayed (e.g., DDpai_N3 Pro_XXXX). then tap Connect.
c.Connect your smartphone to the dashcam’s built-in Wi-Fi DDpai_N3 Pro_XXXX, with the default password: 1234567890.
-For iPhone: Find settings, select WLAN, and connect to the DDpai_N3 Pro_XXXX.
2、Once connected successfully, you will be taken directly to the real-time preview screen (Now & back) of the DDpai App for the dashcam.
When connecting the dashcam for the first time, the following prompts will appear:
-When prompted to modify Wi-Fi password: Please modify the password according to the actual situation, and keep the password safe after modification.
-When prompted to switch to other networks: Choose Keep Connection.
-When prompted to enable high compression video encoding: It is recommended to choose Enable. After enabling it, the video quality of the recorded footage will be improved and clearer than the default configuration.
Interface Introduction
Getting Familiar with the Dashcam Screen
The home screen of DDPAI App (for the N3 Pro dashcam) is comprised of the following: three tabs of Now & back, Capture, and Emergency, setting icons and several function icons at the bottom of the screen, as shown below.
User Center
Open the DDpai App, tap Me in the lower right corner, enter the user center screen. Here you can set up the local album and the app, view the help and feedback and the application information of DDpai App.
Local Albums
The local album is the storage of DDpai App in your phone, where you can save videos, snapshots, and emergency downloaded from DDpai App.
Tap Me > Local Albums, then enter the local album as shown in the pictures below.
Editing Video
The videos in the local album support user-defined editing, such as adding background music and previewing. Here are the editing steps:
1.Tap Me > Local Albums > Videos to enter the video screen. Tap the video that needs to be shared to enter the Video Details.
2.Turn on the SR switch in the lower left corner of the screen to superimpose SR data on the video.
3.Tap Share in the lower right corner, and enter the Crop screen. Drag the timeline left and right to crop the video.
4.Tap SR Style, two SR styles are ready to choose: Classic Style will superimpose real-time speed, front vehicle distance, and other driving data, as well as turning, acceleration, and other signs; None allows you to choose the SR style according to your preference.
5.Select Background Music, here you can customize the background music. Then tap OK in the upper right corner to complete the video editing.
6.You can share, save to the local alum on the sharing screen after editing the video.
Editing Image
The images in the local album support user-defined editing, such as adding filters and text, previewing, and cropping. Here are the editing steps:
1.Tap Me > Local Albums > Images, enter the images screen. Tap an image to open the sharing screen.
2.Tap Share, enter the Edit screen. Tap Filter to select a suitable filter from the list, and tap √ in the upper right corner to apply.
3.Tap Crop to customize the image by dragging the nine-square grid (you can also select a fixed cropping method), and tap √ in the upper right corner to confirm the cropping.
4.Tap Subtitle, enter the corresponding text in the input box, drag the AA bar left and right to modify the text size, and tap √ in the upper right corner, then you can add text effects to the image.
5.Tap Complete in the upper right corner to complete the image editing.
6.You can share, save to the local alum on the sharing screen after editing the images.
Deleting Videos/Images
Tap Me > Local Albums, In the local album, Tap Select or press and hold the video/image to check the videos/images you want to delete
Problem and Feedback
1.Tap Me > App Settings > Advanced Settings, in turn, tap the switch, and turn on the bug reporting mode.
2.Return to the Me user center, tap Help and Feedback, enter the Problem help screen, tap the button in the upper right corner of the screen, select the device to fill in the detailed questions, and tap Submit to finish submitting.
App Settings
Tap Me > App Settings, enter the App settings as shown in the picture below.

Download | Auto-downloading the emergency images: Once connected, it will automatically download images taken during emergency while driving. This is enabled by default, and downloaded images will be automatically synced to the local album. |

Debug Mode | Debug mode: The App will automatically log the running process. If the dashcam is functioning properly during daily use, it is recommended to disable this function. For instructions on how to use, please refer to Help and Feedback. |
Modifying the Language and Time Format
DDpai App defaults to the English screen, if you do not need to modify it, skip this section.
1.Open DDpai App, tap Me in the lower right corner, and enter the APP user login screen;
2.Tap App Settings to enter the App settings screen, and then tap Language to enter the language modification screen.
3.Tap on the language you want to use.
4.Return to the App Settings screen, and then tap Time Format to enter the time format setting screen.
5.Tap the time format you want to use.
Camera Screen Settings
On the real-time monitoring screen of the DDpai App,tap the settings iconto enter the camera screen settings , where you can set various parameters of the dashcam.

Sound | Speaker Volume | Slide left or right to adjust the volume. |
Sound | Power-on Sound | Tap to turn on or off the sound effect. |
Sound | Microphone Recording | Tap to turn on or off the recording of audio when recording videos. |
Video | Up-Down Reverse Image of Rear Camera | When the monitoring screen switches to the rear camera monitoring, the image will be inverted vertically after setting. |
Left-Right Reverse Image of Rear Camera | When the monitoring screen switches to the rear camera monitoring, the image will be horizontally inverted after setting. | |
Video Encoding | The default video encoding is H.264. High compression encoding can be set through the App to improve video quality by 50%, but it requires high performance from the phone. If the video is lagging during playback, you can turn off this option or preview the video on a computer. | |
Time Watermark | When turned on, the date and time watermark will be displayed on the video. | |
Speed Display | Once enabled, the speed watermark will be displayed at the bottom left of the App preview screen. Where the GPS signal is good, restart the device to make the GPS positioning successful. The speed will be displayed only if the GPS positioning is successful; the GPS needs to be in an open area with unobstructed signals. | |
Associated Video Length When Taking Photos | When taking photos, it will automatically capture an associated video of the selected duration, including 10s, 20s, 30s, or turn off the feature altogether. | |
G-Sensor Sensitivity | High, medium, low, or off. When set to low sensitivity, minor collisions will not trigger the collision detection function. This function is related to the parking monitoring feature. If the collision detection function is turned off, the dashcam will not be able to wake up in parking monitoring mode. | |
Automatic Power-off After 15 Minutes of Parking | For vehicles that have non-power-off cigarette lighters after shutting down and locking, the dashcam will automatically power off after 15 minutes of parking. |
Managing Dashcam
Setting | Description |
Wi-Fi Name | Name your dashcam Wi-Fi, namely the one searched by the App to connect. The default name is N3 Pro_xxx. Only 2 to 22 digit, letter, and common symbol combinations are supported. |
Wi-Fi Password | Change the built-in Wi-Fi password of your dashcam. If you forget the password, you can reset it to the default password 1234567890 by restoring the factory settings. Only 8 to 32 digit and letter combinations are supported. |
Remote Control Pairing | Tap Pair and then press the remote control button near the dashcam continuously 3-5 times. Purpose: Pressing the button can instantly capture photos. |
Storage Management | Check the storage space and usage frequency of your dashcam. Tap Format to format the SD memory card. Note: Before formatting the SD memory card, please back up the relevant data and proceed with caution. |
About Device | View the device information of your dashcam, including firmware version number, service hotline, email, official website, the current running time of the dashcam, and the login information of the app this time. |
Deleting the Dashcam
Delete the daschcam from the list if you stop using it. Re-add the daschcam when you use next time to make new connection.
Function Introduction
Video Settings
After connecting the N3 Pro, you will enter the Now & back screen of the DDpai App by default, where you can view the real-time monitoring, video replay or images. The default monitoring is from the front camera.
Video Function
Viewing Real-time Monitoring
1.The front camera screen: After connecting the App to the dashcam, defaulting to portrait mode, it will enter the real-time preview screen.
2.The rear camera screen: Tap the button to switch between the front and rear camera preview screens.
3.Full screen: Tap the buttonor rotate your phone horizontally to switch the real-time screen to full-screen mode
Viewing Playback Video
To check the playback video, drag the timeline at the bottom to view directly or select from the playback video list.
A.On the Monitoring Screen:
1.Drag the timeline forward or backward in the monitoring screen to view the video at a specific time.
2.Hold for 5s at a specific time (tap the thumbnail) to start playback of the previously recorded video.
3.Adjust the playback speed:
Tap Speed down or Speed up to adjust the playback speed (0.5x, 1x, 2x) when sliding the timeline to view playback video.
4.Color tag of the playback timeline:
The time-lapse event is tagged in yellow, emergency event in red when sliding the timeline to view playback video, for convenient files finding.
B. On the Emergency Tab:
It detects a collision or strong shake during recording, and captures related photos and video automatically.
Screen Capture
Tap the camera icon at the bottom of the monitoring screen to take a screenshot of the current screen, which can be saved to the local album.
24H Parking Monitoring Mode
This function is Only offered to users who have purchased the hardwire kit. If you have not purchased it, thisfunction is not supported.After installing the DDPAI intelligent hardwire kit to the fuse box, the Parking Mode setting will appear in the DDPAIApp’s camera settings as shown in the figure below:
After vehicle is turned off entersOptions DescriptionTime-Lapse Recording It will save a considerable amount of device storage space, but the viewingspeed will be faster. Time-Lapse Recording is selected by default.Normal Recording The device will record continuously and overwrite the oldest files when thestorage is full.Sleep Mode The device will go into sleep mode and will be awakened when anemergency event is detected.

● Setting Parking Monitoring Duration
After the vehicle engine is turned off and reaches this duration, the device will go into sleep mode to protectthe vehicle’s battery. The options include 12H, 24H, and 48H, with 24H selected by default.Note: When setting this timer, please consider the monitoring duration in advance to avoid the risk of batterydepletion and to prevent the device from affecting the vehicle’s startup.
● Vehicle Battery Protection
Set the minimum safe voltage: when the battery voltage is detected to be lower than the set safe voltage, therecorder will automatically shut down to avoid continuous battery depletion and protect the vehicle’s battery.The default setting is Middle (12V).14You can also view the real-time battery voltage detection on this page.
Setting SR
The equipped SR function, allows the dashcam to superimpose driving data on the real-time preview/playback screen, creating an exclusive trajectory screen for your better visual and content sharing experience.
SR Effect in Real-time Video
1.See Connecting N3 Pro to the App to connect the DDpai App and the smartphone.

3.Find the SR switch at the bottom left of the preview screen, and check the real time SR effect.
4.Tap Data at the bottom right of the preview screen to see the current speed, total driving time and other driving data.
SR Effect on Downloaded Video
Find the videos through Me > Local Album > Videos and open the details, open the SR switch to check the downloaded SR effect.
Track Management
The dashcam supports the synchronization of driving tracks on DDpai App, recording the vehicle driving status.
Viewing Real Time Driving Tracks and Current Location
1.See Connecting N3 Pro to the App to connect the DDpai App and the dashcam.
2.After connecting the DDpai App to the dashcam, open the App, tap Device > Enter the device, enter the Now & Back screen;
3.Tap Tracks at the bottom of the Now & Back screen, then you can check the real time driving tracks and current location.
4.If you have captured part of a video and downloaded it, the video should be displayed with driving tracks. To view the tracks, open the App and select Me > Local Album. Then choose the video, tap Tracks at the bottom of the screen, and driving tracks will be displayed below.
Viewing Driving Tracks
Find the DDpai App home screen and select Me > Driving scores to view all driving track records.
Downloading Video
You can not only take photos on the APP, but also download these photos and videos directly to the smartphone, avoiding dismantling the TF memory card on the N3 Pro many times.
Downloading from the Playback Timeline
1.Slide left or right on the timeline on the monitoring screen to select the starting point to download.
2.Tap the download buttonto enter the timeline download screen, and the App will start downloading automatically. After downloading the video segment, tap Complete to finish downloading. After downloading, the file will be saved to the local album and can be shared or deleted.
Downloading from the “Emergency” Files
Long-press the file in the list to enter the selection state, and then select files to download.
Sharing Photos and Videos
In Me > Local Album on the DDpai App, you can edit or crop the videos, images, and emergency that have been downloaded to the smartphone, or share them to social media accounts.
1.In the Video, Image, or Emergency tab, select a video (or image), and then tap the iconat the bottom to share the video to your social media account.
File Browsing on PC
1. Disconnect the power cable from the N3 Pro Dash Cam and turn off the Dash Cam.
2. Open the card slot cover and gently push the TF memory card with your fingernail or another tool. The card willpop out automatically.
3. Remove gently the TF memory card from the Dash Cam’s card slot and insert it into the accompanying cardreader, then plug the card reader into the PC.
4. Once the PC recognizes the TF memory card, open the DCIM folder in the storage card. From there, you canbrowse or edit the photo or video files saved on the TF memory card, which are organized into the following threefolders:
● 200video: includes normal recording videos and time-lapse videos recorded in parking monitoring mode.Normal recording videos start with a number, while time-lapse videos start with “S” and those ending with”H” are high-compression encoded recording videos.
● 201photo: includes voice-activated photos and photos generated by collision detection. Normal photosstart with “N”, while collision detection photos start with “G”.
● 202emergency: includes emergency video files saved when a collision occurs.
Maintenance
Firmware Upgrade
Open the DDPAI App, connect the dash cam Wi-Fi, and tap “Me”>”About DDPAI”>”Detect New Version” and the app will automatically detect whether the App version and the firmware version are the latest versions. If there is a new version of the firmware of App or device, upgrade the version according to the operation displayed on the screen.
Safety Precautions
Before using this product, please read all precautions and operating instructions to ensure correct and safe use.
1. Please do not debug the N3 Pro dash cam or watch the video on your mobile phone while driving, and pay attention to driving safety.
2. Please do not install the N3 Pro dash cam in a location that may block the driving view.
3. Make sure to use the power cord included in the product package. Other power cords may cause fire or short circuit and electric shock due to defective products.
4. Make sure to use Class 10 high-speed card (Max. 512GB). When using the device, please do not insert or remove the TF card. Please format it through the App before use, otherwise it will not be recognized. It is recommended to format the dash cam regularly through the app to ensure better maintenance of this product.
5. Please do not open the dash cam shell or repair it yourself. If this product fails, please call the official customer service for relevant consultation.
6. The dash cam is not only suitable for vehicles, but can also be used in other places and can be powered by an adapter.
7. If a power adapter is used for power supply, an adapter that meets standard requirements should be purchased for use.

FAQ
FAQ
Q1: TF Card error?
1. The TF card has not been formatted before use. Please format it referring to Formating TF Card.
2. The Dash Cam supports up to 512GB, and it is recommended to use a high-speed Class 10 card from brands suchas DDPAI, Kingston, Samsung, Toshiba, or Lexar.
Q2: Rear camera abnormal, unable to switch?
Check if the rear camera indicator light is on (green light on constantly). If not, please check the following:
1. Ensure there is no gap between the bracket and the Dash Cam.
2. Check if the rear camera connection cable is fully inserted into the headphone jack on the bracket.
3. If it still cannot be connected, please contact us at feedback@DDPAI.com.
Q3: Forgot the Dash Cam’s Wi-Fi password?
Press and hold the reset key with a pin for 6s to 8s to restore the factory settings. The initial default Wi-Fi passwordis “1234567890”.
Q4: Unable to connect to Wi-Fi?
1. Turn off VPN and other security software when connecting.
2. When installing the App, grant all the requested application permissions.
3. Reset the device and reinstall the DDPAI App.

Q5: Real-time preview on iPhone is black screen?
Find DDPAI App in the settings on iPhone, and make the following settings:Turn on Local Network.
Q6: After starting the vehicle, is it necessary to unplug and then plugback in the USB adapter for the Dash Cam to turn on?
For Dash Cams powered by the car’s cigarette lighter, some car models continue to supply power to the lightereven after the engine has been turned off. As a result, the Dash Cam may not detect the power on/off signal, andthe power cable needs to be manually unplugged and re-plugged for the Dash Cam to start.
Q7: The GPS location is not successful?
1. Ensure there is no gap between the bracket and the Dash Cam.
2. Check if there is a GPS logo on the bracket.
3. Try again in an area with a good GPS signal (outside the car).Restart or reset the device.
Q8: How to turn on SR and view location and trajectory data?
Please see the App operation instructions (SR section).
Q9: The date/time of the Dash Cam is not accurate?
Connect the Dash Cam to the DDPAI App to synchronize the time automatically. If the time needs to besynchronized every time, there may be a fault with the internal RTC of the Dash Cam. Please do not hesitate tocontact us.
Q10: Video playback is stuttering?
It is recommended to download the video for playback.
If the storage hasn’t been formatted for a long time, it is recommended to format the storage or try using adifferent TF card.
Q11: The Dash Cam automatically shuts down after being idle onconstant power for 15 minutes?
The Dash Cam will enter sleep mode after a long time of inactivity. Restart the Dash Cam by unplugging andplugging the power cable again.
